Features: This book explains the correctness of the Li Zhide Taiji diagram using the latest achievements in cosmic science, illustrates the state of Wuji (the Ultimate Void) by discussing the existence of dark matter and dark energy in the universe, and employs the Li Zhide Taiji diagram to elaborate on the principles and practice methods of the "back silk loop" in Taijiquan. It also explains eight types of strength methods using the Bagua (Eight Trigrams) and meridian theory, and introduces internal cultivation methods such as the "Qian San Lian" and "Kun Liu Duan" stances. Suitable for practitioners of various styles of Taijiquan.
The concept of the "back silk loop" originates from Du Yuanyhua's The True Essence of Taijiquan (1935). Therefore, this book first introduces the practice methods of the "back silk loop" using examples from the Zhaobu Taijiquan and Wu-style Taijiquan passed down by Huo Mengkui. It then explores the application of the "back silk loop" in other styles of Taijiquan, such as Chen-style and Yang-style.
The Wu-style Taijiquan introduced in this book was passed down from Li Yishu, Ge Xianzhai, and Huo Mengkui to Feng Jingchun. This style preserves the more original practice methods of Wu-style Taijiquan, including movements like the 360° cloud hands and mandarin duck feet. Each posture is arranged according to the four-character secret method of "Qeng, Yin, Song, Fang" (Lift, Lead, Relax, Release), with the "back silk loop" applied in every movement, maintaining a state of "Taiji Yi Qi" during practice. This makes it particularly effective for improving internal cultivation and is suitable for practitioners of all Taijiquan styles to refer to and learn from.
