Features: The pipa, as an ancient and historically significant instrument, possesses complex playing techniques, rich musical expressiveness, and a wide variety of styles. Without systematic foundational training, it is difficult to convey the style, essence, or artistic conception of a musical piece. With over two decades of experience in pipa performance and teaching, the author deeply understands the importance of technical skill training for musical performance. This book is written based on the author's insights and experiences accumulated from long-term pipa teaching, aiming to provide practical and effective practice pieces for students with a certain level of playing foundation. The book is divided into four parts: Scales, Finger Dexterity and String Crossing, Left and Right Hand Technique Training, and Technical Comprehensive Practice.
1. Scales: Through scale exercises and training in different rhythms, students can familiarize themselves with and master the pitch arrangements of various keys on the pipa, while also achieving rhythmic training.
2. Finger Dexterity and String Crossing: The alternating combination of diatonic, parallel, and chromatic progressions is an effective method for training the flexibility of the left hand. The technique of string crossing is a crucial part of pipa fundamental training and must be emphasized and mastered with the correct method.
3. Left and Right Hand Technique Training: This section includes exercises created based on the characteristics of various left and right hand fingerings commonly used in pipa performance.
4. Technical Comprehensive Practice: This part combines basic pipa techniques with more advanced ones, creating or arranging famous works from both China and abroad to train comprehensive technical abilities.
