Features: The "Product Quality Law of the People's Republic of China" was passed by the 30th meeting of the Standing Committee of the Seventh National People's Congress on February 22, 1993, and promulgated by the Order of the President of the People's Republic of China No. 71 on the same day, coming into effect on September 1, 1993. This law was formulated to supervise and manage product quality, clarify product quality responsibilities, and protect the legitimate rights and interests of users and consumers. It is divided into six chapters: Chapter I: General Provisions; Chapter II: Supervision and Management of Product Quality; Chapter III: Product Quality Responsibilities and Obligations of Manufacturers and Sellers; Chapter IV: Compensation for Damages; Chapter V: Penalties; Chapter VI: Supplementary Provisions.
