These works by cultural elites active at the intersection of China and the West are published because their thoughts and achievements, their cultural practices, and their Eastern perspectives and Chinese sentiments profoundly reflect the charm of Chinese culture and the essence of East-West convergence, thereby sparking readers' interest. The articles by Chinese scholars such as Liu Mingjiu, Xu Jun, and Du Qinggang in this issue serve as testimonials to the interactive feedback of French culture. Their love and acceptance of French culture, as well as their sincere and persistent pursuit of knowledge, reflect from one angle the era's characteristics of mutual integration and complementary progress in Sino-French cultural relations, and we are delighted to recommend them to readers.
Additionally, in the French Cultural Studies section, Introduction to the History of Western Concepts and Derrida, Foucault, Ricoeur, and the Love of Writing offer insightful explorations of Western literature, while A Concept of Poetry Criticism reflects on the philosophical perspectives of the symbolist master Mallarmé. All these works are worth reading.
In the "Overseas Dispatch" section, the two articles by authors Karim Khan and Mr. Suge represent the forefront of contemporary French intellectual thought and practice. Their discussions on international networks and reforms in Parisian prestigious universities resonate with the articles and discussions by Chinese scholars in Issue 13 of this journal titled "University Reform Forum," reflecting the shared aspirations of the Sino-French intellectual community and the interconnectedness of Chinese and foreign cultural veins. These works deserve the attention of readers.
