Features: There are some words in English that have two correct spellings. Since this textbook is a listening, and its material sources are relatively broad, a uniform spelling is not used throughout the entire textbook. The current practice is that the spelling of words in the text generally follows the accent of the speaker in the recording of the material or the source of the material; the spelling of words in exercises and annotations, etc., is generally consistent with the spelling of words in the corresponding text. This textbook is organized into units based on content and level. The purpose is to relatively concentrate the content with similar themes and different genres from various materials in the UK and the US, to help students imagine scenarios, understand the content, and memorize words. However, this arrangement may sometimes affect the stability of the textbook level. It is recommended that teachers flexibly add or delete materials based on students' acceptance level to make the textbook suitable for actual teaching needs.
