Features: The China Audit Yearbook is guided by Deng Xiaoping Theory and the Important Thought of the Three Represents, with the purpose of recording the history of China's audit work, serving economic construction, strengthening theoretical guidance, and promoting the development of the audit industry. It is characterized by keeping pace with the times and holds guiding significance for audit work. The China Audit Yearbook (2004 Edition) is the eighth yearbook organized and compiled by the National Audit Office of the People's Republic of China, possessing strong authority, guidance, informational value, professionalism, and preservation and collection value. This yearbook comprehensively, systematically, and centrally reflects the overall situation of China's audit work in 2003, with a timeframe from January 1, 2003, to December 3, 2003. This edition largely maintains the editorial style and format of the (2003 Edition), with the following additions and adjustments: 1. The photo section continues to follow the format and content of the 2003 edition, incorporating a new section titled "Commemorating the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of Audit Agencies" in line with current developments and audit work characteristics. Other sections have been adjusted to "Special Features," "Meeting Highlights," "Learning the Three Represents," and "International Exchange and Cooperation" to more vividly reflect the essence of audit work. 2. To facilitate reader reference and verification, starting from this edition, the section "Local Audit Agencies" has been adjusted. Audit reports from county (city), district-level audit agencies are now presented in a data table format for easier reading, while content from prefecture (city)-level and above audit agencies remains consistent with previous years. 3. To better reflect the contributions of audit agencies to national economic construction over the past 20 years and to document the achievements of audit work, a new section titled "20th Anniversary of Audit Agencies" has been added, and the section "Audit Work Chronicle" has been adjusted.
