Features: Chen Yiming, the exclusive painter of Hammer Gallery in New York, was born in Shanghai in 1951 and has been painting since childhood. From 1972 to 1979, he studied at Shanghai Art College and the Oil Painting Department of Shanghai Theater Academy. Before going to the United States for studies in 1981, he was a teacher at Shanghai Light Industry College. After arriving in the U.S., he studied at the Art Students League of New York. Since 1990, he has been the exclusive painter of Hammer Gallery in New York. He has held exhibitions in North America, Europe, and Asia and participated in oil painting auctions at Sotheby's, Christie's, and Galleria. His works have been collected by museums, enterprises, and individuals in many countries and regions. Mr. Chen Yiming's works have been exhibited at the International Gallery in New York, U.S. (1982); Lincoln Center Gallery in New York, U.S. (1982); Oriental Gallery in New York, U.S. (1983); Eagle Gallery in Connecticut, U.S. (1989); New England Modern Art Center in the U.S. (1990); Hammer Gallery in New York, U.S., with a joint exhibition with Chen Fei Brothers (1990); Mowatt Gallery in Vancouver, Canada (1993); Singapore International Art Fair, Mowatt Gallery in Canada (1994); Hong Kong International Art Fair, Xiongni Gallery in Hong Kong (1994); Hammer Gallery in New York, U.S. (1996).
