Features: Urban road greening and beautification are important components of urban landscape. With the development of urban construction and municipal infrastructure engineering, the construction and expansion of roads have progressed rapidly. The renewal and replacement of roads have played a decisive role in promoting urban environments, and road greening and beautification have also achieved unprecedented development.
Entering the 21st century, urban environments have placed greater emphasis on the ecological space of the larger environment. The layout art of large-scale environmental construction is often reflected through the overall urban framework and spatial layout design. The general overview of a city is often conveyed through two aspects, providing an intuitive and perceptual understanding:
1. The outer landscape of the city, formed by the rivers flowing through the city, railways, road greening, natural terrain features, as well as the shapes of building clusters and extensive green spaces.
2. The cityscape viewed from an aerial perspective.
Whether it is the outer landscape or the cityscape, both can demonstrate the framework and spatial layout of greening. Therefore, road greening design must start from a macro perspective. This book is one of the series "Urban Greening and Beautification," providing a relatively comprehensive elaboration on how to conduct road greening and beautification design, construction, and management, serving as a reference for professionals engaged in related road greening work. Due to the limited expertise of the editors, any shortcomings are kindly welcomed for criticism and correction.
