Features: To regulate the work of master's degree applications by individuals with equivalent academic qualifications and ensure the quality of degree conferment, the 16th meeting of the State Council Academic Degrees Commission decided to introduce a national unified examination on comprehensive academic level for applicants with equivalent academic qualifications. Since September 1, 1999, individuals applying for master's degrees with equivalent academic qualifications must obtain the "Certificate of Qualification for the National Unified Examination on Comprehensive Academic Level in the Relevant Discipline" to meet the prerequisite for obtaining a master's degree. The purpose of the comprehensive academic level examination is to strengthen the macro-control and standardized management of the conferment of master's degrees to individuals with equivalent academic qualifications by the state, and it is an important part of the national assessment of the professional knowledge structure and level of applicants with equivalent academic qualifications for master's degrees. In 1998, experts were organized to write and publish the "Outline and Guide for the National Unified Examination on Comprehensive Academic Level in the History Discipline for Applicants with Equivalent Academic Qualifications." Over the past five years, based on the suggestions of a large number of candidates and relevant experts, we have revised this book carefully on the basis of summarizing the experience of recent years' unified examinations. The revised outline (Second Edition) will serve as the basis for the unified examination questions for the history discipline for applicants with equivalent academic qualifications in the coming years, providing reference for universities and colleges in teaching and tutoring, as well as for candidates in reviewing and preparing for the examination.
