Features: This book is a planned teaching material for vocational colleges and polytechnic schools under the Ministry of Education. It is written based on the newly formulated Basic Requirements for Teaching of Digital Electronic Technology in Vocational Colleges and Polytechnic Schools by the Ministry of Education, combined with the author's many years of teaching reform experience. It is used in conjunction with the book Analog Electronic Technology, edited by Hu Yanyu. Digital electronic technology is an important fundamental technical course, as well as a highly practical and applied course. Therefore, close integration of theory and practice is emphasized, with the aim of cultivating students' engineering application skills. This book includes two parts. The first part mainly introduces basic functional circuits such as number systems and coding, logic gates, basic principles of logic algebra, integrated flip-flops, generation and waveform transformation of pulse signals, and corresponding basic skill training. The basic functional circuits focus on introducing their basic working principles, logical functions, and usage; the basic skill training emphasizes cultivating students' ability to test circuit functions and use acquired knowledge to perform simple logic design, correctly use instruments for testing and adjustment, and initially familiarize themselves with troubleshooting experimental faults. The second part mainly introduces basic digital components such as combinational logic circuits, sequential logic circuits, digital-to-analog and analog-to-digital converters, semiconductor memory, and corresponding comprehensive skill training. The basic digital components mainly introduce their logical functions and extended applications. The comprehensive skill training emphasizes cultivating students' ability to comprehensively apply acquired knowledge to correctly select integrated devices for logic design and solve more complex problems, while also introducing methods for fault diagnosis in small-scale digital systems. This textbook also independently includes a chapter on programmable logic devices, briefly introducing programming languages and application examples to adapt to the needs of new technology development. In terms of content selection, this book focuses on small-scale integrated circuits, downplays the analysis of internal circuitry, and highlights the external characteristics and applications of medium and large-scale integrated circuits. In terms of the integration of theory and practice, in addition to cultivating students' engineering application skills, it also pays attention to the development of students' intelligence. Each chapter includes skill questions, and after completing these questions, students can go to the laboratory to build and verify experiments. Additionally, it briefly introduces relevant knowledge of the electronic design software Electronic Workbench (EWB) to provide simulation experiments for schools with the necessary conditions. This book can be used as a teaching material for electrical, electronic, communication, and automation-related majors in higher vocational colleges and higher engineering polytechnic schools for the course "Digital Electronic Technology," as a textbook for the digital part of "Electronic Technology Fundamentals," and can also be referenced by engineering technicians engaged in electronic technology work.
