Features: Monetary policy is a component of national macroeconomics. It is crucial for maintaining the healthy and stable development of the macroeconomy. To improve the level and efficiency of monetary policy analysis, better serve macroeconomic decision-making, and play a role in guiding public opinion, the People's Bank of China officially established the Monetary Policy Analysis Group of the People's Bank of China in January 2001. The group was chaired by Vice Governor Xiao Gang, with the heads of the Monetary Policy Department, Statistics Department, and Research Bureau serving as deputy chairs. Members included responsible officials from the General Office, International Department, Foreign Exchange Bureau, and Treasury Bureau. Each of the aforementioned departments selected 3 to 4 members as analysts.
