Features: When compiling this dictionary, we first selected 15,000 commonly used words as the writing scope. These words were chosen from the current textbooks and popular English reading materials for primary, secondary, and university students in our country. The majority of the word selection comes from the vocabulary of the College English Test Band 4 and Band 6 (CET), TOEFL, and EPT. Therefore, the coverage of this book is relatively comprehensive and suitable for all English learners. Among these synonyms and antonyms, many are high-frequency or most-frequent words in the CET exam. During the compilation of this dictionary, we referred to a large number of exam papers and domestic and international literature. We meticulously arranged the content, providing each word with the correct phonetic symbols and detailed, comprehensive explanations—this distinguishes it from other similar books. General synonym and antonym dictionaries simply provide brief explanations for entries, and these explanations are often limited to synonyms or antonyms, without indicating other meanings of the main or secondary entries. This may lead to misunderstandings or the neglect of other relevant explanations of the words. This dictionary examines the synonyms and antonyms of a word from multiple aspects and levels, greatly broadening your knowledge. All these examinations are based on the different meanings of the word, unlike general dictionaries that only approach it from a single meaning. The dictionary is arranged in an easy-to-find format, with minimal use of "see entry," avoiding the trouble of repeated searches.
