Features: The central theme of this collection of essays is the difference between hermeneutic ontology and philosophical hermeneutics, as well as the relationship between the two. Obviously, hermeneutic ontology and philosophical hermeneutics have the following differences:
(1) Hermeneutic ontology takes the establishment of a metaphysical consciousness and a metaphysical system as the fundamental object of hermeneutics, whereas philosophical hermeneutics primarily seeks a scientific method for humanistic understanding without explicitly emphasizing metaphysical understanding.
(2) Hermeneutic ontology is based on the fundamental connotations of metaphysical cosmology, metaphysical epistemology, metaphysical ethics, and metaphysical aesthetics in the tradition of Chinese philosophy, while Gadamer's philosophical hermeneutics is grounded in the experiential ontology of Heidegger's personal existence.
