Preface
With the support and guidance of Professor Lin Xiangtong, and through the collective efforts of all medical and technical staff in the Department of Nuclear Medicine at Huashan Hospital, Affiliated to Fudan University, this book was revised and supplemented based on the previously used "Clinical Nuclear Medicine Technology Operation Protocols" of our department. It reflects the fundamental content of clinical work in nuclear medicine departments of comprehensive teaching hospitals in China. The book primarily covers three parts: in vivo and in vitro nuclear medicine examinations, as well as radionuclide therapy. The in vivo examination section focuses on the key points of nuclear medicine examination techniques, radiopharmaceuticals, and SPECT, PET, and PET/CT imaging methods for various organs, along with their clinical significance. Through this introduction, it aims to provide reference and guidance for nuclear medicine practitioners in their daily work. Additionally, the book includes numerous PET and PET/CT images, as well as SPECT images, which will assist clinical nuclear medicine staff, interns, and graduate students in image interpretation.
During the writing process of this book, we received care and support from the leadership of Huashan Hospital, Affiliated to Fudan University, as well as meticulous guidance, review, and assistance from Professor Lin Xiangtong, Professor Liu Yongchang, and Vice Chief Technician Deng Shouzhen of the Department of Nuclear Medicine at Huashan Hospital, Affiliated to Fudan University. Professor Lin Xiangtong, as the chief editor, thoroughly reviewed the entire content of the book. We sincerely express our gratitude to them. The publication of this book was supported by the Shanghai Nuclear Medicine Quality Control Center. We also extend our thanks to Professor Wang Longmei of Fudan University Press, Mr. Chen Tongxiong of the Education Department at Huashan Hospital, Affiliated to Fudan University, and Secretary Zhang Jinming of the Shanghai Nuclear Medicine Quality Control Center for their assistance in editing, image illustration, and proofreading. All contributors to this book worked together with great dedication to produce a high-quality reference for the nuclear medicine field. However, due to the authors' limitations, this book may have shortcomings. We sincerely hope for corrections and criticisms from our peers and express our gratitude in advance.
