Features: Since its emergence, capitalist economy has a history of over five hundred years. In this five hundred years, the capitalist society and its economy have been undergoing significant development and transformation. Moreover, just as the entire history of humanity exhibits a general trend of accelerated development, the capitalist economy itself seems to possess an ever-accelerating growth trajectory. By the mid-19th century, the rapid pace of capitalist economic development had already left Marx and Engels of that time in awe: the productivity created by the bourgeoisie in its less than a century of rule was more and greater than the total productivity of all preceding generations. This book is not a textbook but rather a collection of specialized essays. Its organization is primarily based on the intrinsic logic of Marx's Capital. In terms of specific topics, the book does not strictly adhere to the specific theories or external framework of Capital, but instead considers the practical needs of China's economic development and sets forth a series of new themes, such as discussions on the stages of capitalist development, research on the issues of small and medium-sized enterprises in developed countries, an examination of changes in capitalist industrial and market organizational structures, an analysis of the mechanisms of venture capital, and so on. It aims to provide new materials and insights for the theoretical research of Marxist political economy in China. This is one of our good wishes for publishing this book.
