Features: We wrote this FLASH animation book not as teachers instructing everyone on how to create animations or in which direction to go, but rather to share with you some of our summarized creative experiences. We hope to inspire your creative thinking, as the final works still depend on your personal style and accumulated life experiences. The content of this book primarily focuses on frame-by-frame hand-drawn illustrations, using intuitive, simple, and easy-to-understand language to analyze animation examples. This allows us to share the creative process of animation and emphasize intellectual exchange. In addition to analyzing animation examples, we have also included creative thinking methods, color matching techniques, basic animation principles, and finishing skills for your reference, aiming to provide you with comprehensive nourishment from this book.
Creating a FLASH animation requires not only production skills but, above all, creativity. To achieve unique creativity, your mind must be rich with resources. It is essential to observe carefully, read widely, and experience various aspects of life, understanding different perspectives. This will greatly improve the efficiency and quality of your creative work. Additionally, developing a habit of listening to music is beneficial for creation. The melodies of music often evoke different emotions—by listening to music with an open heart, you will realize that you are listening to a story.
When creating a FLASH animation, first analyze the theme and what it aims to convey—is it meant to be humorous or emotional? You can listen to soft music, close your eyes, and lie down in a comfortable place, mentally "playing" the visual information related to the theme like a slide show. As you do this, you can act like a material selector—when a funny face or an action flashes in your mind and seems useful, jot it down on a piece of paper as a component. Once you have gathered enough, you can then creatively organize these elements into a cohesive story.
The completion of this book took over a year, as the three authors painstakingly collected, organized, wrote, and even re-created or illustrated it during our spare time. It truly reflects our immense effort and dedication. We believe that the publication of this book will provide strong support for your FLASH creation! At the same time, we wish everyone the same boundless joy in animation creation as we have experienced!
With numerous and rich examples, this book provides a step-by-step detailed explanation of the basic knowledge, production techniques, and the concept, design, production, and playback of successful FLASH animation cases. The content is divided into four parts: "Basic FLASH Animation," "FLASH Network Presentation Animation," "FLASH Commercial Animation," and "FLASH Small Case Explanations." It applies theory and methods to practice, fully integrating current social trends and commercial needs, offering high learning and reference value for FLASH enthusiasts.
This book is suitable for animation lovers; readers with a basic understanding of animation who hope to use FLASH software to create their own works; and professionals with some FLASH production skills who wish to further develop into skilled FLASH creators.
