Features: The selected essays in this book are each under a thousand words, though they may seem like scattered pieces of gold, they reflect, to some extent, the author's academic thoughts and expertise. Some focus on a specific issue, while others present case studies of diseases, all concise yet to the point. The described cases often reveal extraordinary elements in the ordinary, or contain the ordinary within the extraordinary. The prescribed prescriptions are distinctive, mostly created by the author. However, due to the geographical, climatic, and lifestyle characteristics of the northern region, there are numerous cases of internal, external, pediatric, and gynecological diseases. For instance, in spring, the harsh winds are particularly toxic, making it easy to develop pain-related conditions, with a higher prevalence of cold and arthritic symptoms; in summer, the intense heat often leads to diarrhea and intestinal issues; in autumn, the cooler temperatures are more prone to stomach diseases, coughs, asthma, and liver/gallbladder conditions; in winter, the cold weather frequently causes strokes, coughs, asthma, heart pain, edema, nasal issues, and gangrene. Thus, the northern region has distinct characteristics compared to other areas. Physicians, in response to these features, have meticulously studied and developed many unique preventive and diagnostic methods. Every argument, case study, method, and prescription in the book embodies the years, even decades, of dedicated research and effort of the physicians, revealing profound insights and knowledge.
