Features: I am a middle-aged man and feel I have seen quite a bit of the world; teaching for over two decades, I still spend every day with students; and editing this book is just another ordinary "job." However, when reviewing the stories in this book, I couldn’t help but tear up or clap in admiration. Most of the authors in the book are strangers to me. Yet, the stories and scenes within them have left a deep impression on me. They are the most trivial events—tiny "campus disturbances," "classroom conflicts," things that hardly qualify as real "disturbances" or "conflicts," more like "small ripples" or "gentle breezes." They are the everyday trivialities that happen 365 days a year in schools and classrooms, the kind of minor annoyances that 90% of teachers have experienced—students having birthdays, being mischievous, forgetting to write their names on tests, being late or absent, and so on. Yet, every teacher, when faced with all these trivialities, shows a "broad love" from the "small details" and a "calm wisdom" born from "awkwardness." Isn’t education just 365 days of trivialities and minor annoyances? Isn’t it just 365 days of petty problems? What moves me even more is that almost every adult author in this book has gained profound insights into the truth of life and the philosophy of the vast world from their students—through their words, actions, and the natural innocence of children. As "educators" for adults, they have become "learners" for minors. Without a doubt, I am also one of the learners in this book!
