Features: By the time winter arrived, the collapsed white tower had been rebuilt. But the young man who sang under the moonlight, who lifted the soul of Cuicui gently in dreams with his songs, had not yet returned to Chashan. This person might never return, or perhaps [tomorrow] he will come. Border Town, an immortal masterpiece in modern Chinese literature. When discussing this work, the author himself said: Everything is filled with goodness, yet everywhere there is misfortune. Since it is misfortune, the simple goodness inevitably leads to tragedy. The story is filled with the gentle breezes and drizzles of May, as well as the stifling heat and loneliness of the pre-summer rain in June. The beautiful essays in Marketplace and other collections also depict the scenery of Border Town, which is the birthplace of characters like Cuicui and her grandfather.
