Jin Shangyi is a celebrated contemporary oil painter in China, who served as the President of the Central Academy of Fine Arts (1987–2001) for many years. He currently holds the position of Academic Director at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, President of the China Artists Association, Vice President of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and Director of the National Art Education Committee. Since embarking on his artistic journey in the early 1950s, he has dedicated himself to oil painting with unwavering determination, becoming an outstanding representative among the cultural workers nurtured by the People's Republic of China. At the same time, he has long been engaged in art education, dedicating immense effort to cultivating talent and making significant contributions. He is a dedicated and pragmatic art educator deeply committed to ideals.
Mr. Jin Shangyi is now in his seventies, at the peak of his life with abundant experience, and continues to pursue new creations. This art album is both a compilation of his existing achievements and a symbol of the enduring vitality of his artistic career.
