After our publishing house released the "Bird and Flower Painting Spectrum" series in 1998, it received widespread praise and recognition from all sectors of society. Especially, the spectra of plum blossoms, orchids, bamboos, chrysanthemums, lotuses, and peonies were particularly favored by readers. At the request of readers, we collected works of six varieties—plum blossoms, orchids, bamboos, chrysanthemums, lotuses, and peonies—painted by renowned bird and flower painters across the country and re-edited them into a series. This series consists of six books: "Famous Painters' Plum Blossoms," "Famous Painters' Orchids," "Famous Painters' Bamboos," "Famous Painters' Chrysanthemums," "Famous Painters' Lotuses," and "Famous Painters' Peonies." Each book collects over 200 representative works by modern masters in different styles on the same theme, including grand freehand, small freehand, and meticulous brushwork. The works fully demonstrate the painters' profound artistic skills and high artistic attainments. Most of the works are accompanied by the painters' creative reflections, allowing readers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the painters' artistic techniques and the basic process of forming their artistic styles, as well as their artistic concepts. We hope this series becomes a trusted guide and companion for art enthusiasts. During the compilation of this book, we received strong support from renowned painters across the country.
