Features: The Simplified Horizontal-Layout Revised Edition of Complete Lyrics of the Song Dynasty is a re-edited version based on the traditional vertical-layout edition of Complete Lyrics of the Song Dynasty compiled by Tang Guizhang and published by Zhonghua Book Company in 1979, as well as the Supplementary Edition of Complete Lyrics of the Song Dynasty compiled by Kong Fanli and published in 1981. Since its release in early 1999, it has garnered significant attention and popularity among readers. In recent years, research and textual criticism on Song Dynasty lyrics have made considerable progress, with new materials and achievements emerging. However, as Mr. Tang Guizhang and Wang Zhongwen had never authorized the editorial team to make substantial additions or revisions to the content and format of Complete Lyrics of the Song Dynasty, the team's work was limited to the four aspects outlined in the Introduction to the Revised Reprint. As a result, these new materials and achievements could not be fully reflected in this book. For this reprint, we have only corrected over twenty errors in text and punctuation that have been identified. Alongside the 1999 revised edition of Complete Lyrics of the Song Dynasty, we invited Ran Xiudan to compile Author Index to Complete Lyrics of the Song Dynasty, which includes all authors from both Tang Guizhang's Complete Lyrics of the Song Dynasty and Kong Fanli's Supplementary Edition. This index was printed separately and distributed with the revised edition. For this reprint, we have appended this index to the fifth volume of the revised Complete Lyrics of the Song Dynasty to facilitate its use.
