Features: Vocabulary is the cornerstone of language learning. Traditionally, students' methods of memorizing words are not only dull but also highly inefficient. Many words require tremendous effort to memorize, yet they remain unclear when used. In light of this, we want to introduce a new method of vocabulary learning. By linking seemingly unrelated words with some humorous and witty stories, we have developed a vocabulary learning method: we first provide a story, and then a list of vocabulary. This approach is not only simple and convenient but also highly engaging. Theoretically speaking, memorizing stories is easier than memorizing words because stories have a certain developmental thread, leading to richer associations. This is precisely the theoretical foundation for our series of story-based vocabulary learning materials. During the process of writing these short stories, we discovered that originally dull words can become lively and endearing, and that monotonous learning can also be transformed into something vivid and interesting. This reminded us of Columbus's story of conquering the world: cracking an egg and standing it on a table. It turns out that there are no insurmountable challenges in the world—only whether we can find the key to overcome them. Story-based vocabulary learning is just such a key prepared for everyone to conquer the of vocabulary.
