Introduction to Zhang Taofang
Zhang Taofang was born in 1931. He is one of the most glorious chapters in the history of the Chinese military. In the thrilling war on the Korean Peninsula, he, with an old Soviet-made infantry rifle, fought alone for 32 days without any optical targeting equipment, fired 442 rounds, and killed 214 enemies, setting the highest record for the Volunteer Army in cold-shooting in the Korean War. This number is unparalleled in the history of world military.
What is even more incredible is that, despite countless battles and repeated dangers, he remained unharmed and withdrew safely, which can only be called a myth in war.

Later, he served as the deputy company commander of the training team at the No. 1 Training Base, a pilot in the direct subordination of the Northern Air Force, the deputy political instructor of the guard company at Weifang Base, a student at the Shanghai Air Force Political School, the political instructor of the guard company at Weixian Base in Shandong, the deputy chief of staff of the No. 9 Ground-to-Air Missile Brigade of the Jiaozhou Air Force, and the deputy commander of the No. 9 Ground-to-Air Missile Brigade.
