It's a world detective competition, with one after another of the great detectives who strike fear into the hearts of villains stepping onto the stage to solve cases and catch criminals. When you read detective stories, you should imagine yourself as Holmes, as Poirot, and challenge your own wisdom. Reading detective stories is like playing a brain-teasing game. Remember, you yourself are the great detective! This book contains 72 works, with a wide range of themes and various styles. Most of these works are famous pieces by renowned authors, but some famous works were excluded because their content was not suitable for children. On the other hand, as long as the content is healthy and acceptable to children, even works by lesser-known authors have been included. Works that primarily deal with topics such as murder,, and similar themes have been excluded.
According to the authors' nationalities, the works have been categorized. For the same author, no more than two works are included, so that more authors can meet readers in the book. Most of the original works are relatively long, with many being mid- or full-length novels. If left unchanged, reading them would be cumbersome. Therefore, we invited the authors and children's literature workers to rewrite them, so that each story now has its current length. For original works that are short and lack substance, they have been expanded. In short, while respecting the original works, some modifications have been made during the rewriting process to make the stories more vivid, interesting, artistically moving, and educationally meaningful.
