Features: This book is newly introduced from Marshall Company in the UK, featuring rich and detailed content, exquisite illustrations, and is suitable for children and young adults to read and appreciate. The book is divided into five parts: "Animals Around the World," "Marine Animals," "Colorful Birds," "Insects and Spiders," and "Endangered Animals." Each section introduces the living environment, physical characteristics, size variations, food sources, and various survival threats of animals, offering strong readability and a fresh perspective. Earth—our home—is a unique and magical place. The planets neighboring Earth are lifeless, but the atmosphere surrounding Earth makes it an oasis in space. Earth is rich in habitats for various plants and animals, from coral reefs in the oceans to the highest peaks on land, forming a mysterious and diverse natural world. Based on climate conditions such as temperature, humidity, and types of vegetation, the world is divided into different regions. These regions include tundra, forests, grasslands, mountains, deserts, and oceans, which serve as habitats for Earth's animals and plants. Each habitat has distinct climates and plant species: some are hot and dry with almost no vegetation, like deserts, while others are hot and extremely humid, with abundant plant life, such as tropical rainforests. The survival status of plants determines the types of animals that inhabit these habitats. Some animals are herbivores, feeding directly on plants, while others prey on these herbivores. All types of animals rely on plants for shelter and to build their homes. Beyond land, freshwater lakes and the ocean kingdom also have their unique inhabitants. Scientists are amazed by the diversity of life on Earth, with over 1.5 million species of organisms named so far. Although most mammal species, horses, and fish are known to humans, there are still millions of insect and other small organisms awaiting discovery. While we have learned a great deal about certain animals and edible plants, we know very little about most living organisms. Their lives, their relationships with other organisms, their roles in nature, and their potential value to humans remain mysterious to us. It is a tragedy that humans destroy them before they are discovered and studied, especially when wildlife habitats are altered or invaded, leading to the rapid and massive disappearance of Earth's vast plant and animal resources. This is a loss that humans cannot undo. Most endangered animals are not well-known, and many are not cute or appealing. Some animals, like bats, are even disliked or misunderstood. However, regardless of this, these animals often play important roles in nature. They are all part of Earth's life, and they should share our home with us, living freely in their wild habitats. Let us all love animals. Loving animals is loving ourselves.
