Features: This textbook is neither an international trade discussion based on theory nor an international trade practice discussion based on trade operations, but rather a form that lies to some extent between the two. This choice is entirely due to the needs of student learning. Too close to theory can be both tedious and cross the boundaries that language learners should maintain; while too close to practice may lead to insufficient preparation. Since it is difficult to balance both, it is better to adopt a moderate approach. This textbook starts from the basic knowledge of international trade and systematically explains content such as international trade law, international trade merchants, customs clearance procedures, import taxes, international sales contracts, delivery terms, payment terms, transportation of goods, international trade documents, transportation insurance, recovery of payment, and commercial arbitration. Considering that the current world economy and trade are increasingly being placed within a legal framework, this textbook also takes a legal framework as the major background for its specific discussions. This background framework has become increasingly prominent at the international level. To some extent, this textbook also has the characteristic of comparative research, which is undoubtedly very important for language learners who act as bridges. This textbook is designed for a semester-long course. According to this teaching pace, the content is relatively extensive. Teachers cannot make specific choices based on the actual needs and circumstances of the students or make appropriate supplements. Appropriate exercises are provided at the end of each chapter for selection.
