Features: As a comprehensive publishing house mainly serving young people, the China Youth Publishing Group has noticed that adolescents are particularly vulnerable to the harms of gambling. They bear the responsibility to promote education on this issue. At the same time, to support the Party and government's efforts to combat gambling, they organized the author to write "China Says No to Gambling," aiming to help readers fully recognize the dangers of gambling and sound the alarm for gamblers. The book covers topics such as the government's measures to combat the spread of gambling, the social causes of gambling addiction, the history and evolution of gambling, an overview of gambling abroad, and major gambling cases in recent years. It analyzes how to break free from gambling addiction, the difference between gambling and entertainment, and the challenges of the anti-gambling campaign. Although a series of anti-gambling measures have curbed the spread of gambling, the issue remains serious and cannot be taken lightly. Especially, the infiltration of gambling among young people has begun to emerge, and online gambling has also become a new form of gambling. In the coming time, various gambling problems may still arise. Therefore, comprehensive governance of gambling requires thorough education and guidance for young people, legislation to prohibit new gambling forms, and the involvement of experts in psychology, sociology, education, and law in formulating anti-gambling policies and researching methods. This approach emphasizes both crackdown and prevention, focusing on long-term effects. These are all arduous tasks on China's path to combating gambling. We believe that under the leadership of the Party and government, we will surely win this "people's war."
