Features: The operating room is the place where surgical and related specialty patients undergo surgery. It has always been a crucial department that hospitals pay great attention to and focus on. The management level of the operating room, surgical nursing coordination, and professional standards directly affect the success of surgery. Especially with the continuous development of modern medicine, advancements in surgical techniques, anesthesia methods, equipment, and surgical instruments have been rapid, placing even greater demands on nurses to improve their operating room management skills and technical expertise. In light of this, we invited senior nursing experts from influential hospitals across the country to compile this "Practical Surgical Coordination Comprehensive Guide" as a reference for operating room nurses at all levels of hospitals. The "Practical Surgical Coordination Comprehensive Guide" is a series of large-scale reference books, including seven volumes: "Operating Room Nursing Management," "Surgical Coordination for General Surgery and Pediatric Surgery," "Surgical Coordination for Orthopedics," "Surgical Coordination for Cardiothoracic Surgery and Neurosurgery," "Surgical Coordination for Urology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Plastic Surgery, and Burn Surgery," "Surgical Coordination for Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, and Maxillofacial Surgery," and "Practical Surgical Instrument Atlas for Nurses."
The content of the entire series is comprehensive, rich, and up-to-date, reflecting the concept of holistic nursing while highlighting the characteristics of the operating room. It closely integrates basic surgery with newly developed procedures, providing detailed explanations of key coordination points. The surgical steps and coordination are clear, well-organized, and standardized, fully demonstrating the advanced level of domestic surgery. The authors have integrated the management knowledge and professional expertise that modern operating room specialists must master throughout the series, striving for practicality and close alignment with clinical needs to cultivate qualified operating room specialists.
The "Surgical Coordination for Orthopedics" is divided into 20 chapters. It not only introduces fundamental theoretical knowledge of orthopedic operating room nursing, such as the characteristics of orthopedic surgery, orthopedic surgical instruments, tourniquets and blood pressure cuffs, common orthopedic surgical positions, skin disinfection, sterile draping, common orthopedic fixation devices, bone fillers, and commonly used items and equipment in orthopedic surgery, but also systematically explains the coordination methods for various surgical procedures. Alongside textual descriptions, illustrations are provided to enhance clarity and understanding. The chapters cover both traditional and modified surgical techniques as well as newly developed procedures in recent years. The coordination for each surgery is elaborated from aspects such as applied anatomy, indications, anesthesia methods, surgical incisions, surgical positions, surgical materials, surgical steps, and coordination, as well as precautions. Additionally, the book places special emphasis on introducing the composition and usage methods of surgical instruments and equipment used in new procedures.
