Features: Since 1998, when the Ministry of Education began implementing the "College English Test for Non-English Majors (Level A and B Written Test)," more and more vocational colleges and students have recognized and participated in this exam. Currently, it has become one of the evaluation standards for the Ministry of Education to assess the teaching quality of vocational colleges. The purpose of this exam is to improve students' practical application skills in the English language. Therefore, whether in terms of exam content or question types, this exam differs greatly from other kinds of English tests. This exam consists of five parts: Part I: Listening Comprehension (15%); Part II: Vocabulary Usage and Grammar Structure (Only Grammar Structure for Level A) (15%); Part III: Reading Comprehension (35%); Part IV: English-Chinese Translation (20%); Part V: Writing (15%). To guide and help students become more familiar with this exam and achieve ideal results in the test, Professor Liu Ran of Shenyang University of Engineering has led the compilation of two books: "Training for the College English Test for Non-English Majors (Level A)" and "Training for the College English Test for Non-English Majors (Level B)." This book is based on the "Basic Requirements for College English Curriculum Teaching" and is strictly compiled according to the requirements of the "Syllabus for the College English Test for Non-English Majors." The teachers involved in the compilation have extensive experience in teaching English in vocational colleges and have a deep understanding and research of the "Basic Requirements" and the "Syllabus." During the compilation process, we not only focused on the accuracy and practicality of the materials but also effectively grasped the difficulty level of each content, the coverage and accuracy of vocabulary and grammar items, which well reflects the essence of this exam. This book consists of 12 sets of mock tests, detailed answers, and listening text recordings. The book is accompanied by an audio cassette recorded by foreign English teachers. There are still shortcomings in this book, and we sincerely welcome valuable feedback from teachers and students.
