Features: Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has a long history and is vast and profound. Over the thousands of years of its development, many outstanding physicians with high moral integrity and exceptional skills, such as Bian Que, Zhang Zhongjing, Hua Tuo, Sun Simiao, Li Shizhen, and Zhang Jingyue, have emerged. They left behind a wealth of valuable medical literature for future generations, which includes rich TCM theories as well as effective treatments used throughout history. These are invaluable treasures of our national medicine. However, among the formulas left behind in the history of medical books, there are inevitably many substandard or unsatisfactory ones. Therefore, we organized a team to compile this Comprehensive Collection of Verified TCM Formulas to highlight the strengths of others while avoiding the shortcomings of existing medical books, ultimately achieving the goal of being comprehensive and practical, benefiting the people.
This book is organized by category, with formulas as the main focus. It selects nearly 2,000 secret and verified formulas from modern and contemporary renowned TCM practitioners, covering nine clinical disciplines: Internal Medicine, Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, Dermatology, Orthopedics, and Oncology. It includes both common and frequently occurring diseases, as well as difficult and severe conditions. All the formulas selected have been clinically verified and proven to be effective, with strong targeting and high practical value.
For each discipline, the book provides a brief overview of various conditions, allowing readers to understand the basic information about the disease (including clinical symptoms and pathogenesis) before moving on to the corresponding verified formulas. Each condition is accompanied by several formulas, and each formula generally includes sections such as "Formula Composition," "Usage and Dosage," "Indications," "Modifications," "Contraindications," and "Case Verification." This book collects the essence of various medical practices and forms its own clinical characteristics.
The information for each formula in this book is relatively complete, the language is easy to understand, and the entries are clear and well-organized. We strive to make it so that readers, even those without medical knowledge, can understand and use the formulas effectively after reading them. However, as a general patient, one should consider the differences in specific conditions and physical constitutions. When using the formulas in this book, it is best not to act hastily but to follow the guidance of a doctor to achieve the best results.
During the compilation of this book, we referred to and quoted from some Chinese TCM academic journals and publicly published materials in our country. Due to limited conditions, we were unable to contact all the authors, and we sincerely express our gratitude. Additionally, during the editing and publishing process, Professor Cui Zhaolin of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine reviewed and corrected the book. We extend our thanks to him as well.
