A pipe smoker only takes out his pipe under two circumstances:
1. When he's calm and relaxed, he sits down comfortably to light a bowl of tobacco and leisurely enjoys 30-40 minutes.
2. When he's anxious, he uses a pipe to ease his emotions.
The harmlessness of pipe smoking to health mainly lies in the fact that it doesn't inhale smoke into the lungs. Quitting smoking is too easy (difficult) because some people have tried to quit a thousand times. Using a pipe to quit is the best method—it's more effective than using nicotine gum or patches. Gradually weaning off nicotine through pipe smoking transforms a bad habit into a hobby, with the immediate benefit being that the moment you start smoking a pipe, you no longer inhale smoke into your lungs.
Pipe smoking is an art, a taste, a pleasure. It's a hobby, not a bad habit. In general perception, pipes are primarily craftworks in Western society. In recent years, pipes have become increasingly popular domestically, as more smokers join the ranks of pipe smokers (pipesmokers) for reasons such as reducing the harm of smoking to their bodies.
A pipesmoker is a refined term for someone who smokes a pipe. In fact, just using the word "smoke" makes one feel that the experience lacks depth and flavor. It seems "savor" is more fitting. I believe a good pipe should be "eye-catching, hand-friendly, mouth-comfortable, and heart-pleasing." Imagine sitting leisurely, with a pipe in your mouth, in a cozy space, surrounded by swirling smoke, fully enjoying the aroma. Occasionally, you squint to admire the pipe in your hand, finding it pleasing to the eye—truly a delightful experience.
To cut to the chase, don't underestimate this small pipe. Through transformations, it has reached its current charm—truly, appearances are deceiving. Different pipe smokers have different views and expectations of pipes. They see them as tools, artworks, or symbols of status. Different pipes hold different meanings. Lighting a pipe, as the swirling smoke gradually rises, history, culture, and fascinating stories unfold.
