Features: In the practice of reform, we have deeply realized the important role of teaching materials in the teaching process. However, for a long time, the situation where one set of medical education textbooks dominates has failed to fully reflect the characteristics of medical schools and has not kept pace with teaching reforms and content updates. For this reason, we invited experts and professors from Peking University Health Science Center and some sister institutions to write this series of long-term education textbooks. The writing of this series of textbooks strives to align with talent development goals and teaching syllabi, embody the level of long-term education teaching, explore and attempt to break through the original textbook writing framework; reflect the transformation of Peking University's educational philosophy, the achievements and overall level of teaching content and teaching method reforms, establish a student-centered talent development model, facilitate student learning and thinking, train students' clinical thinking abilities, and cultivate their innovative awareness; and embody the "bilingual" teaching requirements in the teaching process, incorporating vocabulary that students must master into the textbooks. Each textbook is accompanied by an English professional vocabulary read-only CD-ROM. This series of textbooks collects the knowledge and teaching experience accumulated over the years by experts and professors from Peking University Health Science Center and some sister institutions, and bold attempts have also been made during the writing process.
