Features: Rooting out the truth is a natural desire of human reason, the driving force behind human understanding and grasp of the universe, and the origin of social progress. The current credit deficit China faces triggers rational inquiry into the concept of "credit." Why do people "know" about credit but fail to "abide by" it? What are the general patterns of credit construction in market economies? How can China leverage its "latecomer advantage" to accelerate credit building? This book explores and reflects on these questions with you.
At the experiential level of daily life, "credit" has been deeply felt by people, and the social problems arising from credit deficit have drawn attention. Credit building has become a hope for a harmonious society. Therefore, facing society squarely and acknowledging life, systematically organizing and elaborating on "credit" at the theoretical level has become an inevitable academic response to societal needs. This book systematically elaborates on various aspects of credit ethics, including the concept of credit, types of credit, credit forms beyond economic life, the psychological mechanisms of credit virtue formation, the cultural mechanisms of credit system formation, traditional Chinese credit culture, credit issues in the market economy, the efficacy of credit, and the social security mechanisms for credit realization.
To enhance the practicality of humanities research, this book proposes a research report titled "Countermeasures for Governing the Disorder of Social Credit in China" based on sample surveys and investigations. This work is the final research outcome of the National Social Science Fund Project "The Characteristics of Credit Ethics."
This book conducts a multidisciplinary systematic study of the prominent "credit" issue in society from psychological, cultural, sociological, economic, and ethical perspectives. Through comparative analysis and logical reasoning across multiple dimensions, it identifies the characteristics of credit ethics. Based on a close alignment with the social realities of China's market economy development, the incorporation of experience from developed market economies in Western countries, and a respect for the objective laws of economic development, this book proposes a theoretical framework and policy recommendations to strengthen China's credit building.
