Features: The most complete historical classic, "Records of the Three Kingdoms" (Sanguozhi), comprising 65 volumes, including 30 volumes of "Biographies of Wei," 15 volumes of "Biographies of Shu," and 20 volumes of "Biographies of Wu." Authored by Chen Shouyang of the Jin Dynasty and annotated by Pei Songzhi of the Southern Dynasties of Song. It is a comprehensive account of the history of the Three Kingdoms period. This selection and annotation is based on the punctuation edition published by Zhonghua Book Company. From the perspective of reflecting the main historical line, 27 figures from Cao Cao of the Wei Empire downwards have been selected. Due to length constraints, only the original text by Chen Shouyang is used as the basis for annotations. The focus of the annotations is primarily on clarifying wording, with brief notes provided for important historical allusions, official titles, and place names. Appendices at the end include "A Chronological Table of Major Events in the Three Kingdoms," "Profound Quotes from 'Records of the Three Kingdoms'," and "Major Research Works on 'Records of the Three Kingdoms'," all designed to help general readers follow the original text. The annotations draw on the research findings of experts and scholars such as Miao You, the editor of "Selected Annotations of the Three Kingdoms."
