Features: It is essential to focus on the development of teaching teams, teaching syllabi, teaching methods and tools, textbooks, and other aspects of teaching. Special attention should be given to selecting courses that are highly popular among students and contribute to enhancing the cultural literacy of college students, and developing them as high-quality courses. Our university established the Editorial Committee for the Series on Cultural Literacy Education for College Students to strengthen the planning, development, and publication of teaching materials for cultural literacy education. The committee has conducted extensive research and surveys and formulated working procedures for the committee, a publishing plan for the series, and writing requirements for the series. This work should be considered an important part of the university's efforts to establish a base for cultural literacy education. The writing of the series will be guided by the "Action Plan for Education Revitalization in the 21st Century" and the "Decision of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Deepening Educational Reform and Comprehensively Promoting Quality Education," combining the characteristics of quality education courses, and striving to write and publish a series of high-quality teaching materials that meet students' needs and are favored by them. The publication of the textbooks will elevate the cultural literacy education work at our university to a new level and enhance inter-university cooperation and exchange in cultural literacy education.
