Features: Rashes are morphological changes of the skin caused by various diseases of the skin itself or systemic diseases. Clinically, many diseases can cause rashes, covering a wide range. Diseases from various departments such as internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, infectious diseases, and dermatology can all manifest as rashes. Additionally, many skin diseases remain unclear in etiology, leading to a somewhat disorganized classification and making reference difficult. To enhance the differential diagnostic skills of clinical workers across departments in identifying diseases with rash manifestations and to facilitate reference, we have collected diseases with rash manifestations from various departments, as well as other skin and mucosal lesions, hair, and nail abnormalities. Referencing domestic and international materials and combining our practical experience, we have classified the book "Handbook of Rash Differential Diagnosis" based on rash morphology to serve as a reference for clinical doctors in relevant departments and grassroots medical personnel. The book is divided into twenty-three chapters. The first four chapters concisely describe the anatomy and histology of the skin, basic dermatopathology, rash morphology, and methods for rash differential diagnosis. The following nineteen chapters focus on describing the clinical characteristics and differential diagnosis of various types of diseases with rash manifestations. For a few diseases that are difficult to diagnose clinically and tumors, histopathological features are also introduced. For diseases with polymorphic rashes, classification is based on the primary rash to avoid unnecessary repetition. For example, acute eczema can manifest multiple types of rashes simultaneously, but it is primarily characterized by papules, so it is described under the category of papules.
