Features: Nature provides us with the space for survival and the material basis for life reproduction. Understanding and utilizing nature have been long-standing explorations in human society. Sunlight, air, green mountains, and clear waters are essential elements of our lives. At the same time, these wonderful natural landscapes have always been an inexhaustible source of inspiration for scholars and literati throughout history to praise the beauty of life. A home is a place where people reproduce, rejuvenate, establish their livelihoods, and find shelter. It plays a special protective role for people. From primitive caves to modern high-rise residential buildings, it carries the infinite culture and strength of humanity. Chinese sages believed that a home should be in harmony with the natural environment. As an integrated system, the environment is centered around humanity, including heaven, earth, and all things. Every integrated system in the environment is interconnected, interdependent, mutually opposing, and mutually transforming. Therefore, the construction and selection of a home involve knowledge from ancient Chinese philosophy, aesthetics, geology, and geographical ecology. People stand because of their homes, and homes exist because of people. When people and homes are interconnected and resonate with heaven and earth, living in such a harmonious environment brings physical and mental health, happiness, and joy. Today, home living emphasizes comfort and elegance, with the layout and allocation of a home reflecting human wisdom in adapting to the environment. It also fulfills humanity's pursuit of home culture for thousands of years, which is what is meant by a good home bringing prosperity. This book comprehensively analyzes the inseparable relationship between Chinese Feng Shui and architecture. It aims to help readers not only understand the application of Feng Shui in home design but also explore the connection between modern and urban architecture and Feng Shui. The book is easy to understand, richly illustrated, and provides a relatively complete revelation of the important application value and practical significance of Chinese Feng Shui in modern architecture.
