It actively promotes the modernization process of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Author Team: Compiled by expert professors with extensive clinical experience in TCM and rich teaching and research experience. Target Audience: Suitable for clinical workers and teaching researchers of TCM and integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine both domestically and internationally, as well as grassroots healthcare workers for reference. Currently, pharmaceutical science and technology workers worldwide have invested significant financial and human resources to study formula composition, pharmacological effects, chemical components, drug metabolism, and syndrome-formula models of traditional Chinese medicine formulas using modern scientific and technological methods. Combining the pharmacological research of formulas with clinical applications is a crucial aspect of promoting the development of TCM. In light of this, based on clinical practice and referencing relevant literature, we have compiled this book, hoping to contribute to the modernization of TCM. This book is divided into two main parts: General Introduction and Detailed Sections. The General Introduction elaborates on the composition and naming of TCM formulas, as well as the pharmacology and classification of TCM formulas. The Detailed Sections include 228 commonly used TCM formulas, organized according to the principle of classifying formulas by therapeutic methods. These are divided into 18 chapters, such as Expectorant Formulas, Heat-Clearing Formulas, and Harmonizing Formulas. Each formula is structured around its name, with sections on pharmacological effects, clinical applications, and remarks. The book discusses the latest findings in pharmacological research, clinically effective formulas, precautions, and adverse reactions. The text is concise yet comprehensive, based on practical experience, and proven effective. At the end of the book, there are indexes for disease (syndrome) names, formula names, and a glossary of terms and abbreviations for easy reference.
