Features: "The Red Tourism Premium Route Guide" is a stereoscopic combination design, consisting of 6 separate volumes. This design divides the 30 red tourism premium routes jointly recommended by 13 ministries and commissions, including the Central Propaganda Department, into 6 major regions (Northeast, North China, Northwest, East China, Southwest, and Central China), with one volume dedicated to each region. Each volume combines the revolutionary struggles and battles led by the Communist Party of China in different historical periods with the cultural and natural landscapes of the respective regions. The design highlights the historical layers and the regional characteristics of culture and nature, catering to the needs of regional red tourism participants.
The Red Tourism Series was jointly planned by Modern Publishing House and Beijing Shouli Group. Renowned experts in Party history, military history, and tourism were specially invited to contribute to the series. The design of routes, selection of attractions, and provision of travel information fully consider the needs of red tourism travelers. The red tourism scenic areas (revolutionary sites) and green mountains and waters, as well as cultural landscapes, are comprehensively designed, integrating revolutionary tradition education, appreciation of the motherland's natural beauty, and the experience of national cultural heritage. The series is multifunctional, combining knowledge, information, and leisure.
Red tourism primarily refers to thematic tourism activities centered on commemorative sites and landmarks where the Communist Party of China and the people achieved significant achievements during the revolutionary and war periods. These sites carry revolutionary history, stories, and spirit as their core content. Developing red tourism holds significant practical and historical importance for strengthening revolutionary tradition education, enhancing the patriotic sentiments of the entire nation, especially among young people, promoting and nurturing national spirit, and driving coordinated economic and social development in revolutionary old areas.
To promote the development of red tourism projects, the China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) conducted a comprehensive plan for red tourism in late 2004. Recently, the Central Propaganda Department and 13 other ministries and commissions jointly designed and recommended 30 domestic red tourism premium routes. The publication of the Red Tourism Series by Modern Publishing House fully reflects the principle of being close to reality, life, and the people, and it holds great significance for the development of the red tourism industry.
