Features: This dictionary is compiled based on the practical needs and ease of understanding and application for a wide range of Japanese learners in China, as well as those engaged in Japanese teaching, translation, and related fields. Therefore, its most prominent feature is its practicality. In the compilation process, we have focused on the following characteristics:
1. Practical Entries: In addition to common words, we have also included newly emerged and established vocabulary from Japanese newspapers and periodicals, with a particular emphasis on terms related to science and technology. The dictionary contains over 48,000 main entries and over 7,000 derived entries, totaling over 56,000 entries. Additionally, there are numerous related words.
2. Concise and Accurate Definitions with Comprehensive Meanings: The definitions of entries are accurate and concise, primarily using corresponding Chinese terms to facilitate direct application in language communication. For entries without Chinese equivalents, brief translations are provided, with wording kept clear and concise. At the same time, the included meanings are comprehensive, covering not only basic meanings but also widely collected extended meanings.
3. Abundant Examples: To help readers better understand and use Japanese entries, examples are provided not only for basic usage but also for extended meanings, with attention paid to the form and scope of application of the examples. Additionally, the examples include many Japanese idioms, proverbs, and sayings. Difficult characters in the examples are annotated with pronunciation.
4. Easy to Search: The character index is arranged in the order of stroke initiation rather than by radicals, making it easier to search.
5. Pitch Accent Marks: To help readers correctly grasp the pitch accents of Japanese words, this dictionary annotates pitch accent symbols for Japanese entries.
