Reading Comprehension (Reading Comprehension), Translation, and Short Answer Questions are the three most important question types in the exam, accounting for the largest portion of the total score. Currently, Reading Comprehension questions make up 40 points of the exam, while Translation and Short Answer questions are both optional question types in Part IV, each worth 10 points.
Reading and Translation Section: Reading Comprehension is a major component of the CET-6 exam. Since translation questions are largely derived from reading passages and currently appear less frequently in the exam, we have grouped them together under the title "Reading and Translation Section." This allows candidates to use the same passage to practice different types of questions, thereby deepening their understanding of both the passage and the questions. In this section, we first use the recently administered CET-6 reading passage from January 2005 to give candidates "close exposure" to the most new and authoritative CET-6 reading materials, allowing them to assess their current reading level and eliminate any sense of mystery. Next, through precise categorization and intuitive analysis of typical CET-6 reading questions from previous years, we clarify the testing methods of reading questions and make the solution strategies more vivid, enabling candidates to clearly understand the current characteristics of reading tests and memorize their question-setting patterns. Additionally, we provide comprehensive option analysis and error avoidance guidance for each reading question, as well as detailed grammar and translation techniques for each complex sentence, ensuring that candidates not only know what the answers are but also why they are correct. Finally, we have carefully selected 20 typical test passages for candidates to practice comprehensively after assessing their current level and learning the techniques for reading and translation questions. This will maximize their ability to solve reading and translation questions. At the same time, considering the similarity between short answer questions and reading comprehension questions, we have also included some short answer questions for each reading passage in this section for candidates to practice. Furthermore, we provide accurate translations for each reading passage to help readers understand the original text.
Short Answer Section: Short Answer Questions, also known as Short Answer Questions, are subjective test types. While short answer questions appear less frequently in the CET-6 exam, due to the trend of reducing the weight of objective questions and increasing the weight of subjective questions in the exam, candidates absolutely cannot afford to overlook them. In this section, we first give candidates a direct impression of the most recent short answer question from January 1999. Next, we categorize, analyze, and review four other short answer questions that have actually appeared in the CET-6 exam, allowing candidates to learn short answer questions using authoritative and realistic materials. Finally, we use 10 carefully selected mock questions to simulate actual exam conditions, improving candidates' problem-solving skills and accumulating experience. At the same time, we provide reference translations for each short answer passage.
