Features: Ten years ago, the "World War II series" published by our press received a strong response in society and was well-received by a broad readership. In recent years, many readers have requested reprints and reissues of some of the books in the series. Our press has now compiled over a hundred representative illustrations from this series into a new illustrated book series titled "World War II International Figures." On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the victory in the World War II against Fascism, we dedicate this series to our readers. The illustrated book series "World War II International Figures" consists of 15 volumes, featuring 15 renowned figures, primarily covering the representative individuals who played decisive roles in both the political and military aspects of the World War II on both sides. These include books written by the popular international affairs expert and best-selling author Jie Lifu on the "Three of World War II" and "The Three of World War II," as well as contributions from other military historians on famous commanders of World War II. This series also selects the most heinous fascists who committed atrocities against humanity. It tells us how the main villains of World War II—Hitler, Mussolini, and Tojo Hideki—used cunning schemes to rise to power, how they expanded their armies and prepared for war, and how they recklessly provoked the World War II, bringing profound disasters to the people of the world. It also shows how they inevitably moved step by step toward their downfall. The series also features military commanders from both sides of the conflict. In this great battle between justice and evil, progress and reaction, the Allied commanders, with their diverse and brilliant talents, stood at the forefront, clad in armor and engaging in both physical and intellectual struggles. The series also includes the generals of the fascist countries of Germany, Japan, and France. Although they were criminals who launched fascist aggression, their military achievements still hold valuable lessons for future generations to study and learn from. In today's world, peace and development remain the themes of the era. The pursuit of peace, cooperation, and development is not only the universal aspiration of the people but also an inevitable trend of social progress. However, on the other hand, we must also recognize that hegemonism and power politics still exist, traditional and non-traditional security issues are intertwined, and localized wars and armed conflicts continue to arise. The world is far from peaceful. As the saying goes, "A stone from a distant mountain can be used to polish jade." For all young people who are passionate about peace, concerned about national security, and determined to serve in the military to defend their homeland, reading this series will bring them great benefits.
