To help students better understand and master the requirements of the curriculum standards and the "Examination Specifications" for ancient Chinese poems and prose, Peking University's Yan Yuan has carefully designed and launched the new curriculum standards reading series "70 Ancient Poems Every Primary School Student Must Recite," "50 Ancient Poems and Prose Every Junior High School Student Must Recite," and "40 Ancient Poems and Prose Every High School Student Must Recite." In terms of compilation, we have carefully considered and meticulously selected original versions of various influential ancient Chinese poems and prose from across the country, carefully comparing and selecting a large number of excellent works to delight the readers. In terms of content design, we have conscientiously followed the principles, fully considering the psychological needs and cognitive characteristics of students of different ages, and put in great effort to facilitate students' memorization and understanding. We emphasize the guidance of renowned teachers and the appreciation of poems and prose, with annotations that are simple, popular, and rich in cultural and historical knowledge.
