It also holds significant value for professionals engaged in game development and production. Computer games, like theater and film, are a new form of comprehensive art products. The development of computer game software differs significantly from that of general software products. Game programmers not only need to master programming techniques and software engineering methods but also require solid domain knowledge to effectively generate and implement game visuals, audio processing, and player interactions. This book was written based on the authors' experience teaching "Computer Game Programming" to graduate students and senior undergraduates. It is aimed at programmers and game development enthusiasts who have mastered basic programming skills but aspire to work in computer game software development. Therefore, the book focuses on introducing the essential domain knowledge required for computer game programming, including 2D graphics and imaging technology, fundamentals of 3D graphics, advanced graphics programming, computer animation technology, artificial intelligence technology, audio processing technology, and network technology, covering most major aspects of computer game programming. The book is divided into 11 chapters, drawing on the latest domestic and international materials, emphasizing a combination of theory and practice. It uses game examples to illustratively explain various principles and methods of game programming.
