Features: IELTS Writing is divided into two categories: Academic (A) and General Training (G). The Academic module is primarily intended for candidates applying for undergraduate or postgraduate courses in foreign universities, suitable for studying abroad. The General Training module is mainly for candidates applying for vocational training courses, immigration, or other purposes. The writing section has a specified test time of 60 minutes, and candidates need to complete two writing tasks: Task One and Task Two. Writing can reflect a person's language ability, and language ability is mainly demonstrated through mastery and practical application of vocabulary, grammar, sentences, structure, and more. To quickly overcome the challenges of IELTS Writing, we should focus on the following three aspects: expanding vocabulary, organizing grammar, and broadening thinking.
Expanding Vocabulary: Through in-depth research, the author has independently created the "Wu's Top 10 Writing Principles" and summarized 800 common IELTS Writing vocabulary words, helping candidates completely overcome the difficulty of being "without materials to write."
Organizing Grammar: The grammar exercises in Chapter 3 of this book are closely related to actual IELTS Writing test questions. They cleverly integrate the arguments, evidence, and high-frequency vocabulary of IELTS Writing test questions with grammar exercises, allowing candidates to organize their grammar knowledge while familiarizing themselves with writing topics, mastering common arguments and evidence, and practicing writing sentences.
Broadening Thinking: For years, the author has focused on collecting, organizing, and categorizing various arguments and evidence. He has pioneered the brainstorming method for IELTS Writing, known as the "Versatile Essay Method," to help candidates quickly master common arguments and evidence for IELTS Writing in a short period, enabling them to "apply what they know to new situations" and adapt to all changes, thereby overcoming the struggle of "searching the depths of their minds."
Chapter 5 of the book includes eight major themes that cover common viewpoints and high-frequency vocabulary for IELTS Writing topics.
