Features: Reality and ideal have always been an important dimension of human activities. Any human activity takes place within the dimension formed by reality and ideal. Respecting reality and basing one's activities on it can enhance the effectiveness of the activities. Conversely, it will be futile or yield minimal benefits. From the opposite perspective, ideal is the driving force of behavioral development. Without ideal, humans will stagnate and remain in their current state. The relationship between reality and ideal is dialectical and dynamic, always undergoing changes. What was once ideal can become reality through effort. Therefore, reality and ideal are always closely linked with the concept of time. However, at a specific point in time, finding a proper relationship between reality and ideal within this dimension can give one's actions a sense of tension—both grounded in reality and pursuing ideal. This book is based on such understanding, starting from the pursuit of the effectiveness of art education, systematically organizing and addressing various issues in art education within the dimension of reality and ideal. My focus is primarily on three aspects: epistemology (curriculum perspective), teaching philosophy, and teacher philosophy.
