Features: Recording the progress of China's rule of law bit by bit, teaching the public to know the law, learn the law, and abide by the law through specific and vivid cases. "Today's Legal Talk" producer Wang Xinzhong once shared a story—seven years ago, as he walked out of the TV station's west gate, he casually crossed over a young man's "boundary marker" and such incidents had long been commonplace for them. On Monday, he heard that the young man had hanged himself from the crooked tree near the west gate. From that moment on, he said that the instant he crossed the "boundary marker" became a lingering sense of guilt that he couldn't shake off for years. That guilt has persisted to this day. I understand that a person's sense of responsibility should have an anchor. Different levels of legal programs have different tasks and functions. "Today's Legal Talk" should be an intermediate course—you can't make it too high-level, or it would become too out of touch with the masses. In fact, there are often two types of relationships between TV programs and audiences: one is where the program educates the audience, creating a top-down or bottom-up dynamic between the program and the audience; the other is the "audience is god" argument, where the audience dictates what they want to see, and the program simply gives it to them. I don't agree with this. The audience is definitely not god, and neither are we, the creators. The relationship between creators and the audience can be seen as both adversaries and friends. Only a peer-to-peer perspective can foster friendship, dialogue, and mutual exchange. So, who is god? In legal programs, "the law" is god, and the program is god. In this way, our perspective relative to the audience shifts to an equal one.
