Features: There's a girl named Feeling who occupied Xiangpu's emotional space for six long years. Six years of being close yet distant, six years of relentless waiting—it was a bittersweet six years. In Fujii Jiro's eyes, how should his friend Xiangpu's love story be interpreted? Is it romantic, or unconventional? When I decided to write the story of Xiangpu and Feeling, I barely thought about anything else. Because it was a memory, and I was part of that memory. But after putting pen to paper, I realized I was carrying a heavy burden, and the only way to set it down was to finish the story. It's been slightly over two years since I started writing, and it's the most challenging story I've ever written. I thought I had the ability to fully portray it, but I was terribly mistaken. The reason is simple—I didn't love Feeling. I firmly believe that only those who are in a love story can truly feel the emotions involved. Back then, I was so focused on completing this story that I never realized I didn't truly understand Feeling at all. Xiangpu also said that Feeling was distant to him, that he looked at her as if through a layer of frosted glass, always unable to see clearly. But, it's a memory, so I was determined to finish it. Perhaps my interpretation isn't perfect, but I did my best. The story begins with a piece of paper.
