Features: China Water Conservancy and Electric Power Press is a central-level publishing organization with a rigorous work ethic, meticulous management, and over 40 years of history. It is among the first batch of "National Outstanding Publishers." Initially, it primarily published scientific and technical publications on water conservancy and power. With the expansion of its business and strengthened capabilities, it has now successively published various publications in fields such as civil engineering, architecture, computer science, and tourism, earning the approval and praise of readers. On this basis, we are committed to promoting the spirit of scientific exploration and the traditional culture, striving to achieve the integration of science and art, as well as the fusion of publishing and culture, to contribute our part to the inheritance of traditional Chinese art. In this regard, we are honored to invite the renowned art appraiser Mr. Shi Shuqing to compile this series of "Investment and Appraisal of Chinese Artworks," and we are greatly supported by Yachang Enterprise Co., Ltd. We extend our sincere gratitude to them here. Compared to other published books of the same type, the greatest feature of this series is that experts combine their years of experience and insights to analyze the key points of collecting and appreciating various types of artworks, making every word valuable. Nearly 300 artworks in each book are carefully selected and thoroughly analyzed by experts, making them highly representative and informative. Through reading and appreciation, readers can not only gain comprehensive knowledge of artworks but also master the essence of appraising them. This series is highly suitable for art collectors and enthusiasts from all walks of life. To save space, this series uses abbreviations for auction companies, such as "China" referring to "China International Auction Company," etc. The units of money mentioned in the book are "ten thousand yuan," and the units of dimensions are "centimeters," and so on, without listing them all. Please note. This book is one of the "Investment and Appraisal of Chinese Artworks" series. After the Qing Dynasty unified the country, to restore the economy and consolidate the regime, it implemented a series of progressive policies to encourage production, leading to increasing prosperity in the social economy and gradual strengthening of the nation. The porcelain industry also benefited from the economic development, reviving after the decline in the late Ming Dynasty. Starting from the Kangxi period, China entered the golden age of ceramic history, reaching its peak during the Yongzheng and Qianlong reigns. Therefore, the Kangxi, Yongzheng, and Qianlong dynasties were the most glorious periods in the development of Qing Dynasty ceramics. The production of porcelain in the Qing Dynasty was relatively widespread. The Shiwai porcelain of Guangdong and the Dehua porcelain of Fujian played very active and important roles in the development of the porcelain industry in the Qing Dynasty, but they cannot represent the overall level of Qing Dynasty ceramic development. What truly represents the development level of Qing Dynasty ceramics is still Jingdezhen porcelain.
